Thank you for being here
For my Bat Mitzvah, I chose a cause that reflects two things I love deeply: Israel and dogs. Oketz (meaning “sting” in Hebrew) is the IDF’s elite K-9 unit. Oketz teams help protect soldiers and civilians through counter-terrorism, explosives detection, and search-and-rescue missions.
Through American Friends of Oketz (AFO), a U.S. 501(c)(3) partner of the Oketz Foundation, your gift helps support Oketz veterans and the retired service dogs who stood beside them.
Why I chose Oketz
I’m inspired by the special bond between Oketz handlers and their dogs. These dogs are not just tools, they are partners, family, and protectors.
I have a dog named Blu, and she feels like a sister to me. I can’t imagine losing her, especially if she was trying to protect me. Supporting Oketz is my way of saying: we don’t forget the ones who lead the way and keep others safe.
What your donation supports
Your donation helps strengthen the “pack” - the people and dogs who served, and who carry the physical and emotional impact of that service forward.
